Getting started

This guide starts a local gateway with the filesystem connector and connects an MCP client to it.

1. Install the CLI

Download the binary for your platform from the downloads page, put it on your PATH, then check it:

trelvo --version   # trelvo 0.14.2

2. Create a gateway

trelvo init my-gateway
cd my-gateway
trelvo connector add filesystem --root ./shared

3. Start it

trelvo up
# gateway listening on http://127.0.0.1:7340/mcp

Point any MCP client at http://127.0.0.1:7340/mcp. See MCP clients.
